Kia America Breaks Sales Records in November 2025
Kia America has achieved remarkable success in November 2025 by registering a historic total of 72,002 units sold. This impressive figure not only surpasses last year's sales for the same month by 3% but also cements Kia's position as one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the United States. As a result, the company is on track to celebrate its third consecutive year of record-breaking annual sales.
As of now, Kia has sold an impressive total of 777,152 units in the United States throughout 2025, reflecting a significant 7% increase compared to 2024. Key models such as the Carnival, Sportage, and Seltos have been standout performers in this surge.
Several Kia vehicles have shown outstanding growth in sales as of November. The
K5 model experienced a notable increase of 64%, while the
Carnival recorded a stellar rise of 46%. The
Sportage and
Telluride models followed closely with increases of 13% and 8%, respectively. Additionally, the
Seltos model recorded a 23% rise, setting a new sales record for November.
Even the electrified variants of Kia's models saw commendable growth, with a 25% increase for the hybrid and electric ranges, demonstrating the rising consumer preference for environmentally-friendly vehicles. Meanwhile, sales of Kia's sedans increased by 14%, and SUVs followed with a 6% increase compared to the same time last year. Eric Watson, Kia America's Vice President of Sales Operations, stated, “As consumer demand shifts, Kia’s diverse product lineup and expanding portfolio of hybrid vehicles position us right at the threshold of our third consecutive annual sales record.”
At this year's
Los Angeles Auto Show, Kia unveiled the second generation of the Telluride SUV, showcasing a more sophisticated design and an upgraded X-Pro version equipped for enhanced off-road capabilities. The new Telluride will also be available with a turbocharged hybrid system, promising up to 329 horsepower and an estimated fuel economy of 35 MPG combined. Watson further added, “The interest in the new Telluride is extending beyond our current customer base, and we anticipate that this positive momentum will carry into next year.”
In addition to these impressive sales figures, Kia America also associated with IONNA, a joint venture aimed at expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure across California. This project is set to see an investment of over $250 million in the state over the next three years. Moreover, the 2026 Sportage model earned a TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) designation in the latest crash tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), marking the highest safety distinction awarded by the organization for this model, built after May 2025.
As Kia continues to innovate and expand its offerings, the brand stands out not just for its sales figures but also for its commitment to sustainability and safety. Kia America remains headquartered in Irvine, California, and prides itself on leading automotive quality surveys while being recognized by TIME in 2024 as one of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies. Kia serves as the “Official Automotive Partner” of both the NBA and WNBA, providing a broad range of gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles through its extensive network involving over 800 dealerships across the U.S. Many Kia models, including the all-electric three-row SUVs EV6 and EV9, are assembled in the U.S with both domestic and global parts.
