Day-Use Dog Run Now Open at Kunisaki Dog Resort

The Kunisaki Mori to Umi Dog Resort, operated by Relo Hotels & Resorts, will begin offering day-use access to its dog run starting September 15, 2026. Located in Kunisaki City, Oita Prefecture, this pet-friendly resort aims to enhance the experience of spending time outdoors with your dogs. The resort, which officially opened in August 2026, comprises 38 rooms that accommodate pet owners and their furry friends.

Features of the Dog Run

The resort boasts an impressive selection of four dog runs, both indoors and outdoors, catering to dogs of all sizes and accommodating various weather conditions. Among these, the Shio Kaze Run features approximately 500 tsubo (around 1,650 square meters) of natural grass with stunning ocean views. For larger breeds, there is the Dai Chi Run, which spans around 400 tsubo, providing ample space for dogs to run freely. Even in rain, dogs can enjoy the indoor Hidamari Run, ensuring that every visit remains enjoyable regardless of the weather.

Relaxation and Amenities

In addition to the dog runs, the resort offers a spectacular outdoor hot spring bath that is open to guests without pets for day-use access. Also available is a private stone sauna, making it convenient for non-overnight guests to relax and unwind in a resort setting. To celebrate the introduction of day-use facilities, the resort has partnered with its sister facility, the Beppu Hill and Sea Dog Resort, to create unique travel perks for dog owners. - Fees: 1,100 yen (tax included) for up to two dogs; 500 yen for each additional dog.
