JIC Group's Initiative for a Guinness World Record
The JIC Group, known for its focus on the field of disability welfare insurance across Japan, has launched an exciting initiative. It aims to set a Guinness World Record™ for the “Largest online video chain of people catching and throwing paper aircraft.” This challenge aims to connect welfare facilities and special support schools nationwide, symbolizing unity and teamwork among participants.
Purpose and Significance of the Challenge
This project serves a dual purpose: first, to bring visibility to the various welfare facilities and special support schools throughout Japan; and second, to promote awareness of the challenges faced by the welfare industry. The relay of paper airplane videos, where each participant catches a paper airplane and tosses it to the next person, symbolizes a continuous line connecting all the welfare facilities across the nation. This event is not just about breaking a record; it aims to highlight the critical issues in the welfare sector, such as staff shortages and the so-called “after parents’ issue” faced by parents of individuals with disabilities.
Through this project, JIC Group seeks to spotlight the hard work and dedication of staff and students within welfare facilities and schools, simultaneously raising awareness of their existence and the issues they face. By participating in this challenge, JIC Group hopes to contribute to solutions for pressing industry challenges.
Challenge Overview
Participants will film themselves catching a paper airplane coming towards them and throwing it to the next person. These individual clips will be compiled into a single continuous video, which will serve as the foundation for the Guinness World Record. The more participants who join in this relay, the greater the chance of breaking the record. Beyond competition, this project symbolizes collaboration across regions and organizations, emphasizing the interconnectedness of welfare facilities throughout the country.
The paper airplanes used in this challenge carry heartfelt messages from both users and staff, encapsulating the spirit of solidarity within the welfare community. The completed video chain will not only challenge the Guinness record but also serve as a powerful tool for awareness and community building within the welfare industry.
