Ibaraki Women Digital Skills Training Project Launches in 2025

Ibaraki Women Digital Skills Training Project

In an effort to empower women through digital literacy, Digital Hollywood Co., Ltd. is launching the "Ibaraki Women Digital Skills Training Project" this September. This initiative is commissioned by Ibaraki Prefecture and aims to equip women with necessary digital skills critical in today's job market.

Program Overview

The training program consists of three main courses: Graphic Design, Web Design, and IT Skills Development. Each course is designed to cater specifically to the market demands, enabling participants to develop a wide range of digital skills. Additionally, interactive classes focusing on communication skills and job search strategies will take place face-to-face in Morioka, enhancing the training experience.

By completing these courses, women will prepare themselves for careers as web designers, marketers, or IT professionals with the foundational knowledge needed to either secure employment with local companies or thrive as freelancers.

Background and Purpose

Women in Japan often face challenges in maintaining their careers due to life events such as childbirth, caregiving, or changing social circumstances. Addressing these hurdles is a primary motivation behind this project. Ibaraki Prefecture aims to promote itself as a location where young people and women want to live and work by tackling the gender gap and supporting diverse working styles.

Acquiring digital skills has become an essential way for women to pursue flexible working options, irrespective of geographical constraints. This project seeks to disseminate digital skills to a broader spectrum of women while providing steady support from education to employment. By connecting participants with local businesses, this initiative also aims to foster employment opportunities and enhance the vitality of companies in the region.
