DEAN & DELUCA: A Festive Collaboration with Hiroaki Ooka

On June 3rd, DEAN & DELUCA will launch a special collection featuring limited edition tote bags and cookie tins adorned with art by renowned artist Hiroaki Ooka. This collaboration promises to bring a festive spirit to your everyday life, merging exquisite art with daily utility. The launch will take place at their Tamaplaza store, where an art exhibition and sale of Ooka's works will also be held.

Limited Edition Art-Inspired Items

The collection includes two standout items: the "Sanctuary is here Tote Bag" and the "Sanctuary is here Cookie Tin." Each item showcases Ooka's artwork, allowing customers to enjoy art in a practical form. The tote bag is designed for everyday use, crafted from sustainable material called "PlaX™," which is known for its low environmental impact. Its dimensions are approximately 41cm x 41cm, with an added interior pocket for convenience. Priced at ¥5,000 (including tax), this tote bag makes any outing feel special.

Features of the Tote Bag

  • - Design: One side features Hiroaki Ooka's art, while the other showcases the DEAN & DELUCA logo.
  • - Material: Made from 92% cotton and 8% polylactic acid (PlaX™).
  • - Sustainability: The use of PlaX™ aligns with eco-friendly practices, showing DEAN & DELUCA's commitment to sustainability.

A Taste of Art with the Cookie Tin

The "Sanctuary is here Cookie Tin" is a delectable companion to the tote. Priced at ¥2,400 (including tax), this tin incorporates iconic motifs from Ooka's artwork, including hands, stars, moons, and winds, into the design. Inside, customers will find four delightful cookie flavors: plain, Earl Grey, salt caramel, and cocoa, paired with delicate mini meringues in vibrant colors inspired by the artist's palette. Each tin is designed to be cherished even after the cookies are finished.

Cookie Tin Details

  • - Design: Crafted to echo the colors and themes of Ooka's artwork.

Both items will be available through DEAN & DELUCA's online store, selected market locations, and certain café settings starting June 3rd until supplies last.

Art Canvas Donation Exhibition

Accompanying the product launch, DEAN & DELUCA will host the "Art Canvas Donation Exhibition" featuring Hiroaki Ooka's works at the Tamaplaza store. This exhibition runs until June 9th and allows visitors to get a closer look at the pieces up for sale. Notably, 10% of the proceeds from this exhibit will support "more trees," a charitable organization dedicated to forest conservation and community-building initiatives.

Social Contributions and Artistic Endeavors

The exhibition emphasizes DEAN & DELUCA's commitment to social responsibility through the "Art Canvas Project," encouraging community and environmental stewardship while showcasing diverse artistic expressions.
