In addressing the urban logistics challenge, FOTON unveiled its first platform dedicated solely to electric light-duty trucks: DAYSTAR. Developed from extensive user research, DAYSTAR addresses major electric vehicle (EV) concerns, such as complex charging processes and high total cost of ownership (TCO). This platform features an 800V high-voltage architecture, silicon carbide control systems, and oil-cooled motors, achieving a 20% enhancement in overall energy efficiency. Furthermore, it incorporates a cabin design inspired by passenger cars along with comprehensive over-the-air (OTA) updates, ensuring exceptional reliability validated over six million kilometers of testing.

Enhancements in Last-Mile Delivery Logistics

Continuing its trend of innovation, FOTON presented the next-generation minitrucks named Wonder Plus, specifically designed for last-mile deliveries. This model showcases an exceptional payload capacity, the longest and widest cargo area in its class, and a double trapezoidal suspension for improved comfort and maneuverability. Additionally, FOTON introduced the world’s first delivery platform powered by new energy sources, the exclusive CAVAN C1. Adhering to global standards and featuring a completely electric design, it is equipped with a highly secure battery developed by FOTON and boasts impressive drivetrain efficiency exceeding 93.5%. The rapid-charging capability at 2.2C facilitates charging to achieve a 100 km range in just 10 minutes.
