Minikura Introduces a New Large Storage Plan for Oversized Items Without Boxes

Minikura Launches Innovative Large Storage Plan

Minikura, a delivery trunk room service operated by Warehouse TERRADA based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, is set to expand its service offerings. Starting from October 2, 2025, they will introduce a new "Large Plan." This plan allows customers to store items, such as fans and strollers, that are too large to fit into cardboard boxes, providing a solution for bulky-item storage outside their seasonal usage.

Concept and Background

Minikura operates under the motto "Widening Japanese Living Spaces." This service enables individuals to store their belongings online, starting with boxes as low as 320 yen. Not only can customers arrange for the drop-off of items via an easy online interface, but they can also access various services, including the option to donate stored items online. Additionally, they offer assistance from professional organizers who can help sort and tidy up one’s living spaces, catering to diverse lifestyle needs.

The introduction of the Large Plan responds to customer requests for better management of oversized items. Minikura now offers two distinct options within this plan: the "Large Plan 180 Size," which accommodates items with a total dimension (length + width + height) of up to 180 cm, and the "Large Plan 200 Size," for items up to 200 cm. This addition has arisen from customer demands for storage solutions that extend beyond the conventional specialized boxes and cardboard.

Features of the Large Plan

With the Large Plan, one can store an array of items that often lack appropriate space at home, including seasonal appliances like summer fans or winter heaters. Moreover, it allows for the storage of holiday decorations, like Christmas trees, and larger travel necessities, such as suitcases or strollers, which are often inconvenient to keep throughout the year.

Each stored item is photographed in the warehouse, allowing users to check their belongings anytime via their online My Page. This feature enables complete transparency and ease of access to stored items, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Pricing Structure

The Large Plan is built around simplicity: no specialized boxes are needed, only basic packing for shipment. This not only saves physical space but also further streamlines the storage process. Here are the details:

  • - Dimensions: Total of 3 sides must be within 180 cm
