Skylight Consulting and IBF Foundation Partnership Update
In a significant step towards enhancing support for the visually impaired community, Skylight Consulting Inc., headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has renewed its partnership agreement with the International Blind Football Foundation (IBF Foundation). Beginning from April 1, 2025, the updated agreement extends their collaboration for another two years, continuing until March 31, 2027. This partnership aims to further drive efforts towards empowering individuals with visual impairments and resolving global vision challenges.
About the IBF Foundation
The IBF Foundation, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, operates under the mission of connecting people and ideas through blind football, ultimately seeking solutions to visual impairments. Since entering into a partnership in 2023, Skylight has engaged deeply in multiple international projects aiming to address visual challenges, working towards a world where everyone can live authentically.
During the previous contract period from April 2023 to March 2025, Skylight played an active role in significant sporting events, including sponsorship of the
2023 IBSA Blind Football World Grand Prix held in São Paulo, Brazil in May, and the
IBSA World Games 2023 in Birmingham, UK, in August. These contributions have significantly aided the advancement and promotion of sports for the visually impaired.
In March and November of 2024, Skylight sponsored the
Global Leadership Camp hosted by the IBF Foundation in Madrid, Spain. This camp aimed to develop leadership skills among visually impaired individuals, and Skylight was actively involved in the program planning.
Additionally, in September of the same year, Skylight collaborated with the IBF Foundation and the Japan Blind Football Association to establish the
VISI-ONE Innovation Hub, an innovation platform focused on solving vision-related challenges. As the founding company and operational secretariat, Skylight aims to foster innovation solutions in collaboration with affected individuals, businesses, and researchers.
Upcoming Initiatives Post-Partnership Renewal
With the partnership renewal, Skylight is set to sponsor the
VISI-ONE Innovation Hub Conference 2025 in May, which will further support understanding and collaboration on vision-related issues. Skylight is committed to leveraging its cooperation with the IBF Foundation to promote international competitive activities and launch new projects focused on visual challenge resolutions.
