Make-A-Wish Revives Holiday Wish Line for Uplifting Messages from Kids

Make-A-Wish Revives the Holiday Wish Line

As the holiday season approaches, Make-A-Wish America brings back a beloved tradition that has warmed hearts across the nation: the Holiday Wish Line. This festive initiative allows callers to listen to uplifting and pre-recorded messages from children who have displayed immense courage while facing critical illnesses. The campaign runs from December 8 to December 31, 2025, and aims to spread joy and hope during what can often be a season filled with mixed emotions.

To participate, anyone can simply dial (480) 914-9474 (WISH) to hear the heartfelt stories and playful advice from six amazing wish kids. Each message will not only inspire but will also remind listeners of the power of hope and joy, even in the face of adversity. Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, emphasizes the importance of these messages, stating, "Our wish kids have battled critical illnesses with courage and grace. Their messages reflect a depth of humor and hope that only they can share. For those feeling overwhelmed or in need of a smile, their voices are a powerful reminder that joy can be found even in the hardest times."

Featured Wish Kids

Each of the six wish kids featured in this year's Holiday Wish Line has a unique story that showcases their strength and resilience:

  • - Angelito, age 5, is bravely fighting leukemia and had his heartfelt wish for a charro-themed celebration come to life, filled with music, gifts, and horses.
  • - Levi, age 7, undergoing cancer treatment, enjoyed a memorable ski trip in Colorado, reuniting with his siblings.
  • - Ruby, age 5, a liver transplant recipient, achieved her dream of publishing a children's book to inspire courage in others.
  • - Braedyn, age 8, who is also battling leukemia, rediscovered joy through the simple magic of ice skating.
  • - Vera, age 9, lives with a respiratory disorder and received a custom baking station, enabling her to chase her dream of owning a bakery.
  • - Quinn, age 7, is facing leukemia and relished the excitement of exploring New York City, traveling in a limousine and savoring a giant pizza.

The Impact of Wishes

Wishes granted by Make-A-Wish have transformative effects on children battling severe medical conditions. They significantly enhance emotional well-being and help kids feel more hopeful. Many wish kids survive their health challenges and credit their wish experiences with fostering resilience and confidence. Motter's sentiments resonate strongly with their mission: "Wishes are powerful; they help children temporarily escape their struggles and provide moments of joy that can impact their overall health outcomes."

Community Support

The Holiday Wish Line is made possible through the generous contributions of corporate partners including Black Bear Diner, The Walt Disney Company, Royal Caribbean, Target, and Subaru of America, among others. Their support reflects the strength of community engagement and highlights how collective efforts can help make wishes come true.
