CareSource Launches 2026 Workplace Giving Campaign
CareSource, acclaimed as a nationwide nonprofit managed care organization, has announced the kickoff of its 2026 workplace giving campaign aimed at empowering employees to support causes that matter to them, while also bolstering CareSource’s mission of enhancing health and well-being within the communities it serves. This year, the campaign is particularly focused on addressing the escalating mental health crisis affecting many Americans.
Campaign Focus: Supporting Mental Health Initiatives
Facing a growing mental health crisis, CareSource’s campaign seeks to partner with three notable nonprofit organizations that provide critical behavioral health services and bridge the gaps in care access. These partner organizations include Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) in Ohio, Children's Cabinet in Nevada, and Advocates in Massachusetts.
The statistics surrounding mental health in the U.S. are alarming; approximately 20% of adults and 14% of youth experience a mental health condition each year. Many individuals encounter barriers that prevent them from accessing necessary care. By supporting established nonprofit organizations, CareSource employees can play a crucial role in expanding treatment access and reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Voices of Leadership
Erhardt Preitauer, the President and CEO of CareSource, expressed, “Our workplace giving campaign reflects the compassion and purpose our employees bring to their work every day. When individuals come together to support organizations that they believe in, the collective impact can be extraordinary.” This collective initiative represents a shared commitment between CareSource and its employees to improve community health through accessible services that enable individuals and families to thrive.
Partner Organizations Making a Difference
Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH)
ISBH specializes in providing coordinated care for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. By integrating behavioral health services with primary care, ISBH aims to enhance treatment outcomes and reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues.
Children's Cabinet
Based in Nevada, the Children's Cabinet offers a wide array of family and youth services, including counseling, case management, and suicide prevention programs. Their mission is to ensure the safety of children and support family unity during difficult times.
Advocates
Serving over 50,000 individuals and families annually, Advocates provides comprehensive mental health care, addiction recovery support, crisis intervention, peer services, and care management programs to help those in need.
Scott Markovich, CareSource's Executive Vice President of Markets and Products, emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing behavioral health challenges: “Behavioral health challenges touch every community, and progress requires collaboration and action. Through their generosity, our employees are helping strengthen organizations that expand access to behavioral health resources and connect families to the care they need.”
Reflecting on Previous Successes
The previous year’s campaign, executed across three states, raised over $255,000 for charities supporting early literacy, family stability, and inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities. This significant achievement is a testament to the employees' commitment to give back to their communities.
A Call for Generosity
Through the 2026 Workplace Giving Campaign, CareSource employees are once again presented with the opportunity to demonstrate the power of collective generosity. Their contributions can expand access to vital care and bring hope to those grappling with mental health challenges.
