Niutech Technology Group Completes Major Restructuring
In a crucial development for the recycling industry, Niutech Technology Group Co., Ltd. (SSE STAR Market: 688309) announced the completion of a major restructuring on August 26, 2026. This initiative is aimed at advancing its capabilities in the chemical recycling of tires and plastics, marking a significant evolution in the company’s 40-year history in continuous pyrolysis technology.
Expanding Focus on Recycling Technologies
With this restructuring, Niutech has expanded its business scope to include research and development (R&D) in resource recycling technologies, specialized equipment manufacturing, and innovative materials. The company has pioneered the transformation of more than 30 types of materials, including used tires and plastics, into stable recycled resources such as pyrolysis oil and non-condensable combustible gas.
Niutech has successfully assisted its clients in executing projects with capacities reaching 10,000 tons globally across various countries, including Germany, the UK, South Korea, Denmark, and Brazil. The operational performances meet stringent environmental and technical standards required in developed markets.
Responding to Regulatory Demand
A key driver behind this restructuring is the increasing regulatory demand for recycled materials, propelled by policies such as the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), and regulations governing end-of-life vehicles. These regulations significantly elevate the focus on continuous pyrolysis as a viable solution for recycling.
Niutech's next-generation smart continuous pyrolysis production line is capable of processing over 100 tons per day per unit. This innovation promises substantial gains in capacity, efficiency, cost control, and product quality.
For instance, in the case of used tires, the toluene transmission of recovered carbon black exceeds 80%, enabling the production of high-quality carbon black, which can be used as a raw material in tire manufacturing. Moreover, the pyrolysis line can efficiently process low-value municipal plastics, ocean plastic waste, and textile waste without complex washing, sorting, drying, or fine grinding operations. The process directly converts these materials into stable pyrolysis oil, solid fuel, and non-condensable gas, with the oil serving as a potential feedstock for new plastic production.
Strengthening Global Position
In China, Hesheng Environmental Protection, a subsidiary of Niutech established in 2013, achieved stable operations for over a decade and became the first in its sector to receive ISCC certification. Following the completion of Phase II of its project in 2026, Hesheng's total capacity will rise to 160,000 tons per year.
A British client recently placed an order worth 198 million RMB after comparing Niutech's projects with those of international competitors. This further emphasizes Niutech's commitment to expanding its clean pyrolysis oil production chain and developing blending processes for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
According to Niutech's marketing director, "It is through industrial projects that the maturity of a technology can be best verified." The company’s website,
