SWCC Corporation Recognized for Commitment to Sustainability

SWCC Corporation, headquartered in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, has proudly announced its selection for the SOMPO Sustainability Index for the second consecutive year. This index is established by SOMPO Asset Management and comprises around 300 companies that excel in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluations based on their comprehensive ESG and environmental management surveys.

The SOMPO Sustainability Index serves as an active index used by SOMPO Asset Management since August 2012, forming a portfolio for their sustainable investment operations. This product is geared towards long-term investment strategies and has been adopted by various pension funds and institutional investors. The index members are reviewed annually in alignment with results from ESG surveys, ensuring a dynamic approach to sustainability.

Since its inception, SWCC Corporation has contributed to the development of a sustainable society by supporting social infrastructure. The company recognizes sustainability as a core management issue and has strengthened its commitment by establishing a Sustainability Committee in 2022. Through this committee, they have developed their basic sustainability policies, identified material issues (or key challenges), and aligned KPIs and initiatives with their business strategies to achieve synergistic effects between business and financial strategies.

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, SWCC has set new targets for 2030 across 14 indicators, completely restructuring its KGI and KPI metrics in response to all identified material issues. The company is transitioning from managing procedural frameworks and progress initiatives to indicators that assess contributions to effective management strategies and enhanced corporate value.

This recent acknowledgment by the SOMPO Sustainability Index reflects the strengthening of the company's various ESG initiatives implemented thus far, leading to its selection as an index member.
