HATTRICK and Sunrockers Shibuya Unveil Upcycled Shoulder Bags

In a remarkable partnership, HATTRICK, operated by Valuence Japan Inc., and the professional basketball team Sunrockers Shibuya, will be showcasing unique upcycled items during their event at Aoyama Gakuin Memorial Hall on May 3 and 4, 2025. This event coincides with the highly anticipated B.LEAGUE game between Sunrockers Shibuya and Alvark Tokyo.

Upcycling for a Sustainable Future

The initiative features a limited release of the upcycled square shoulder bags crafted from the 2024-25 season uniforms. This venture aligns with Sunrockers Shibuya's newly launched project, 'S-Ring,' which aims to promote various sustainable practices within the community.

Sunrockers Shibuya, a prominent team in Japan's B.League based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has developed the S-Ring project under the mantra, “Let’s come together to create a united society.” This initiative focuses on social contributions informed by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By repurposing their uniforms into stylish and functional bags, Sunrockers and HATTRICK are not only demonstrating creativity but also embodying a commitment to sustainability.

Event Details

The sale will occur exclusively on game days: May 3 from 15:20 to 19:00 and May 4 from 12:20 to 16:00 at the Aoyama Gakuin Memorial Hall rear indoor official goods shop, located at 4-4-25 Shibuya, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. Only 30 units of the upcycled bags will be available at a price of 12,000 yen (tax included).

The bags, each crafted from the team’s 2024-25 season uniforms, will go on sale directly at the venue's designated booth. To make a purchase, fans must visit the indoor shop, where they can pay via credit card or IC transportation electronic money; cash payments will not be accepted.

Although these uniforms typically become obsolete at the close of a season, the upcycling process breathes new life into them, providing an opportunity to reduce waste and promote environmental friendliness.
