XCMG Reveals Innovative Zero-Carbon Mining Solutions at AMM-2026 in Kazakhstan

XCMG's Commitment to Sustainable Mining

The 16th Astana Mining and Metallurgy Congress (AMM-2026) recently witnessed a significant milestone in the mining sector with XCMG Group's demonstration of its cutting-edge zero-carbon smart mining solutions. Held on June 11-12, the congress brought together over 1,500 delegates from 16 countries, making it a pivotal platform for dialogue in the mining and metallurgy industries.

XCMG's presence at this influential event was marked by the attendance of its chairman, Yang Dongsheng, who participated in a plenary session hosted by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction. During his keynote address, he highlighted the company's dedication to fostering a greener mining environment and presented their innovative zero-carbon solutions. This showcases XCMG’s comprehensive capability in providing integrated green electric equipment combined with advanced smart mining technologies.

A highlight of the congress was a dedicated forum that XCMG organized, focusing on the pressing need for green transformations in Central Asia's mining operations. The forum served as a collaborative space where local mining firms shared insights and explored strategies for implementing smart technologies and practices that align with zero-carbon objectives.

Yang emphasized the urgency of sustainable solutions, stating, "The global mining industry is accelerating its transition toward greener and smarter operations. XCMG remains committed to advancing this transformation with integrated equipment portfolios and solutions that make mines smarter and operations more sustainable."

The commitment to supporting Kazakhstan’s mining development was further underscored by Yang’s concurrent visit to the country as part of a Jiangsu provincial delegation. He participated in the China (Jiangsu)-Kazakhstan Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, showcasing XCMG's extensive experience in serving the local mining sector.

In terms of practical applications, XCMG’s technology proved instrumental at a lead-zinc mine in the Karaganda region, where demanding conditions—including a 5-kilometer uphill haul route and severe temperature fluctuations—required specially tailored machinery. Through persistent testing and assessments, XCMG's team developed customized vehicles that exceeded transport volume expectations, leading to higher efficiency in operations.

Moreover, at the Pustynnoye gold mine, two of XCMG's pure electric loaders have set a new standard, operating up to 15 hours per day with peaks over 20 hours. These loaders represent pioneering steps in Kazakhstan's mining industry, aligning with XCMG's unmanned fleet initiative and ambitions for complete electrification in mining processes.

Since entering the Kazakhstan market in 2001, XCMG has expanded its product range to include a diverse array of machinery—from cranes and earthmoving equipment to special-purpose vehicles. Their local subsidiary, XCMG Kazakhstan, established in Almaty in 2017, has evolved to enhance localized services, including equipment shipping, customs clearance, and customer training, contributing significantly to the efficiency and reliability of operations across the region.

Looking forward, XCMG plans to further leverage its green technologies and localized service network to deliver customized machinery solutions that address the needs of Kazakhstan and the broader Central Asian market. With a vision to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency, XCMG is set to play a vital role in the ongoing transformation of the mining sector, making it smarter, safer, and more energy-efficient.
