Celebrate the 5th Anniversary of PlayStation 5 at PLAY IN GINZA

PLAY IN GINZA: A Unique Celebration of PlayStation 5

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the famed PlayStation 5 (PS5), and to celebrate, Ginza Sony Park is transforming into a fun playground known as "PLAY IN GINZA" from November 15 to December 3, 2025. Inspired by the beloved "Ginza PlayStation" corner that existed in the former Sony Building, this event invites fans of all ages to immerse themselves in the exciting world of PS5 gaming.

Since its launch on November 12, 2020, the PS5 has achieved remarkable successes with over 80.2 million units sold worldwide as of June 30, 2025. This anniversary provides a perfect opportunity for fans to rediscover the joy of PlayStation gaming in an outdoor urban park setting. The PLAY IN GINZA event will offer a wide range of activities across the B2 and 3F levels of the Ginza Sony Park, including several gaming corners featuring popular titles.

At the gaming corner on B2, visitors can enjoy five notable games, which include: the acclaimed action-adventure game "Astro Bot," the beginner-friendly driving experience "Gran Turismo: The Beginning," "Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-2025" by Konami Digital Entertainment, the exhilarating action-packed game "Dynasty Warriors Origins" by Koei Tecmo Games, and the anime-inspired action game "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2" by Aniplex. This diverse selection ensures heart-pounding action and immersive experiences set against PS5's stunning graphics and innovative DualSense wireless controller features.

Additionally, visitors to the third floor will have the opportunity to participate in the "Gran Turismo: The Beginning" time attack challenge. Attendees who complete the challenge will receive special "original patch stickers" inspired by Astro Bot and the DualSense controller as rewards. The archive corner adjacent to the gaming area will showcase classic PlayStation hardware and nostalgic television sets reminiscent of the past, while a limited-time shop will offer PlayStation-related merchandise, including the "Heritage" series and items from "Astro Bot" and "Ghost of Yōtei." Customers spending over 2,200 JPY (tax included) will receive a special original design postcard featuring PLAY IN GINZA, representing a delightful keepsake of their experience at the event.

In addition, a special exhibit will reveal all 30 unique designs of the limited-edition "PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection" posters. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans to delve into the rich history and aesthetic of PlayStation products over the years.

As we reminisce about the vibrant atmosphere once found at the former Sony Building's sixth floor, we invite both children and adults to revisit that sense of community at PLAY IN GINZA. This special event promises to rekindle the lively spirit of the past while providing an opportunity for gratitude from Ginza to everyone who has supported PlayStation over the years.
