CRRC EV's Groundbreaking Presentation at Busworld 2025
On October 4, 2025, during the Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels, CRRC Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (CRRC EV) unveiled two cutting-edge all-electric bus models as part of its commitment to revolutionizing urban mobility. This event marked a significant milestone for the company, positioned as a leader in low-carbon urban transit solutions.
The first model introduced, the
EU12C, is a premium electric coach designed specifically for luxurious long-distance travel. It features an advanced 800 V architecture, offering a peak power output of 480 kW and an impressive torque of 5100 N•m, enabling it to conquer inclines exceeding 30%. The aerodynamic design minimizes air resistance, providing a remarkable range of up to 550 km on a single charge. Furthermore, it supports ultra-fast charging to reduce downtime significantly.
The second model, the
ED12, is a fully electric double-decker city bus capable of accommodating up to 126 passengers. It boasts a range of up to 560 km for urban operations under optimal ESORT conditions. Its lightweight aluminum alloy body, similar to materials used in high-speed trains, promises a lifespan of up to 20 years. Additionally, the bus is incorporated with a ten-layer safety architecture in its battery system, ensuring enhanced security for passengers.
In addition to the buses, CRRC EV introduced its
Digital-Intelligent Low-Carbon Urban Transit System, which comprises a comprehensive four-tiered framework designed to optimize city transportation solutions.
1.
Smart Cloud Brain (TOCC): This centralized platform integrates big data, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things (IoT) technology, establishing a sophisticated data collection, transmission, analysis, and application system that enhances decision-making in urban transport, enabling real-time operational adjustments.
2.
Mobility as a Service (MaaS): This innovative system prioritizes efficient public transport through AI-driven planning, on-demand services, and smart vehicle maintenance. It features a dual-layer network that combines metro systems, smart railways, and buses, while suburban lines and micro-shuttles fulfill last-mile connectivity.
In a pilot project named
Yunshang Bus located in the Zhujiu prefecture, five CRRC H05 vehicles operate on-demand, with monthly revenues exceeding tenfold compared to traditional bus routes with fixed schedules.
3.
Smart Logistics: By connecting public transport with logistics services, this initiative reduces last-mile delivery costs by 50% while improving efficiency by around 40%.
4.
Green Infrastructure: Through targeted modernization efforts, this component integrates vehicles, road infrastructure, and cloud systems at key urban intersections, promoting autonomous driving, intelligent traffic management, and networked services.
Utilizing its extensive expertise across the production chain for new energy components and clean energy solutions, CRRC EV aims to contribute to the sustainable mobility of the future. The Wind-Solar-Hydrogen-Vehicle sector produces an impressive 32.5 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, resulting in a reduction of 40 million tons of carbon emissions.
CRRC EV remains dedicated to innovation and the development of greener and smarter urban transport systems worldwide, continuing to pave the way for a sustainable future in public transportation.
