Well-Being Report Vol. 7: A Rise in Employee Challenge Power %

Well-Being Activities Report Vol. 7

Overview

Will Group Inc., headquartered in Nakano, Tokyo, is committed to transforming individual and organizational well-being. Since 2019, the company has prioritized enhancing the well-being of its employees, emphasizing the importance of a positive work environment. This article presents the results from the latest Well-Being survey, conducted in July 2025, focusing on the happiness levels of over 1,000 employees, including executives.

Survey Purpose

The primary aim of the Well-Being survey is to assess the well-being of employees biannually and create a vibrant workplace where individuals can thrive. Through the Well-Being Circle assessment, each employee visualizes their well-being score, which helps in understanding their current state. The company also gains insights from these results, enabling mutual recognition of areas needing improvement.

Key Findings

For the latest well-being survey conducted in July 2025, the company set two objectives:
1. Maintain a rate of employees experiencing a decline in well-being at 31.2% or lower (consistent with the previous year)
2. Ensure that the overall well-being score of the group increases.

2025 Survey Results

  • - Decline Rate: 29.0% — a 3.1% improvement from the previous survey in January 2025.
  • - Overall Well-Being Score: 66.1 points — a minimal increase of 0.1 points since January, indicating positive strides towards the goal.

The scores revealed an increase in Challenge Power, Energy, and Strength, while scores for Stress Levels, Positive Emotions, Trust in Work Environment, and Earning Power saw a decline.

Detailed Score Analysis

The group’s overall well-being score showed slight fluctuations across different metrics. Despite the decline rate improving, the general well-being score saw only a nominal increase of 0.1 points. This indicates that while some employees or specific departments faced significant declines in well-being, the overall picture remains optimistic. In response, the company has created personalized feedback for approximately 300 teams to facilitate improvement. Strategies such as dialogue sessions and enhanced one-on-one interactions will encourage team-based initiatives to uplift overall well-being.
