Angel Yeast Unveils Innovative Yeast Solutions for Animal Nutrition at TUYEM 2026

Angel Yeast Showcases Yeast Innovations for Animal Nutrition at TUYEM 2026

On June 8, 2026, Angel Yeast (SH600298), a leading global yeast manufacturer, presented its latest innovations and research developments at the 16th International Animal Feed Congress (TUYEM) in Turkey. The event, organized by the Turkish Association of Animal Feed Manufacturers (Türkiyem-Bir), is the largest gathering for the animal feed sector in Turkey, attracting industry leaders, researchers, and professionals to discuss the future of animal feed production, raw material supply, and sustainable practices.

George Gong, a technical expert from Angel Yeast, delivered a compelling presentation entitled “Yeast Postbiotics and Yeast Peptides Nutrition in Ruminants.” His talk highlighted the critical role that yeast technologies play in animal nutrition, emphasizing their potential to improve feed efficiency amid rising costs and supply chain challenges facing the industry.

The global animal feed industry is currently grappling with significant challenges. In both Turkey and China, animal feed producers are experiencing increasing pressure due to high demand for raw materials and persistently elevated costs. With over 40 years of expertise in yeast technology, Angel Yeast is focused on developing yeast-based solutions that benefit animal nutrition and enhance feed efficiency. Particularly in ruminant feeding, live yeast is commonly used to regulate microbial flora, stabilize the rumen's pH, and improve the digestibility of fibers and starches.

Research from Angel Yeast indicates that utilizing its yeast products can significantly boost the average daily gain of cattle by approximately 10% to 20%, along with increasing milk production in cows by around 5% to 10%. This translates to an additional 1 to 2 liters of milk per cow each day, allowing farmers to achieve greater production efficiency with fewer feed inputs, helping to mitigate the pressures from rising raw material costs.

Given the widespread use of pelleted feed in the Turkish market, where high-temperature and high-humidity granulation processes can diminish the activity of live yeasts, Angel Yeast has ramped up its R&D efforts on functional ingredients like yeast peptides and cell walls. These components offer prebiotic or postbiotic benefits and have significant potential for use in ruminants, poultry, aquaculture, and pet foods.

Gong noted, “Although yeast and its derivatives are predominantly utilized in ruminant feeding today, their potential extends far beyond this segment. Yeast peptides, yeast cell walls, and other functional components can be applied in pet food, poultry feed, aquaculture, and food applications. These functional components will enable yeast-based products to play a key role in more animal production systems, driving greater efficiency and long-term sustainability.”

Angel Yeast's presence at TUYEM 2026 underscores its commitment to advancing yeast-based innovations that meet the evolving needs of the animal nutrition industry, ultimately paving the way for more sustainable agricultural practices.
