RatedPower, a part of Enverus, has unveiled its 2025 Global Renewable Trends Report, a comprehensive analysis that examines the evolving landscape of renewable energy. This fifth edition encompasses insights from over 140 professionals in the renewable industry, as well as extensive data derived from more than 45,000 solar design projects.

The report emphasizes a robust optimism among industry experts regarding the future of renewables, identifying storage solutions, solar energy, and green hydrogen as primary areas poised for growth over the next five years. The issues of grid saturation and instability were highlighted by 60.1% of participants, with permitting and regulatory hurdles also noted by 49.7%.   • - On addressing challenges, 60.1% identified grid saturation and instability as the most pressing issue, a decrease from last year’s 66.7%.
  • - Furthermore, 48.3% of participants identified storage as having the greatest growth potential, while solar followed closely at 30.8%.
  • - Bifacial modules remain a dominant choice in simulations, appearing in over 91% of all simulations throughout 2024, achieving record high levels in the fourth quarter.
  • - The trend towards using string inverters has seen upward movement, with more than 60% of simulations incorporating them, continuing a trend sustained over several years.
