PowerX Supplies Energy Storage System to Olympia's OLY Power Storage Project

On April 17, PowerX Corporation, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, initiated the operation of three Mega Power systems at Olympia's newly established OLY Power Storage facility in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture. This collaborative project signifies a crucial advancement in energy storage capabilities and renewable energy integration.

The OLY Power Storage system connects to the power grid, enabling energy storage during periods of surplus and discharging during periods of high demand. This strategy not only stabilizes the power supply but also supports the expansion of renewable energy resources. Notably, the project has received endorsement from Tokyo's fiscal year 2023 initiative to promote the introduction of grid storage batteries, ensuring that during peak power demands, electricity will be supplied in response to requests from Tokyo Electric Power Company.

This is the second location where PowerX has provided its energy storage systems, following their previous installation in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture.
