Huasun Energy has recently introduced its latest innovation, the Kunlun Series HJT (Heterojunction Technology) solar modules, which boast an impressive bifaciality of nearly 100%. This state-of-the-art product is specifically designed for vertical photovoltaic (PV) installations, marking a significant advancement in maximizing energy yield while addressing land usage constraints.

The Growing Demand for Efficient Solutions



As the global energy landscape shifts, traditional photovoltaic systems are facing increasing challenges due to land limitations and fluctuating power prices. Xiaohua (Jimmy) Xu, the CEO of Huasun, highlighted this trend by stating, "The Kunlun Series introduces a revolutionary approach by optimizing yield through dual-peak energy generation capabilities in vertical installations, thus enhancing energy security and economic returns." Collaboration in AgriPV Projects



In the agricultural sector, Huasun is collaborating with Next2Sun, a German company, to develop vertical PV projects, including a notable 5.2 MW installation in Merzig-Wellingen. According to a project manager from Next2Sun, the HJT modules significantly enhance performance by mitigating the impacts of snow and dust while also capturing reflected sunlight. This innovation has resulted in energy generation expectations being exceeded by 12%. The symmetrical bifacial design of the modules enhances sunlight absorption and efficiency, while also reducing light pollution, noise, and soil disturbance, guaranteeing a smooth and environmentally friendly integration with agricultural practices.

Performance Metrics that Set Standards



A simulation of a 96.8 MW AC Agri-PV project in Blankenfelde, Germany, has revealed that Huasun's HJT modules, rated at 720 W with a 23.2% efficiency, outperform traditional TOPCon panels. These modules have increased operational hours by 7.91%, reduced land use by 10 hectares, and lowered balance-of-system (BOS) costs by 1.92%. As a result, this led to an 8.72% decrease in Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and a 3.76% improvement in Internal Rate of Return (IRR), solidifying the Kunlun Series' lead in vertical solar applications.

Versatile and Durable Design



Furthermore, Huasun’s HJT modules are engineered to perform optimally in various space-constrained environments, including transportation systems, buildings, and offshore sites. With excessively low degradation rates (≤1% in the first year and ≤0.3% annually) combined with an enhanced temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C, Huasun ensures long-term operational efficiency.
