Outgoing President Alison Nash, AIA, LEED AP ID+C, CPHC, WELL AP, expressed her excitement about welcoming a new leadership team. As she approaches the final year of her term, Nash reflected on her journey with the BSA's Board of Directors since 2021, a period in which she worked toward transforming the nearly 160-year-old organization into a dynamic hub for architects and the broader design community. “I look forward to sharing my experiences to equip the next generation of leaders, ensuring that the BSA remains on a path of innovation and growth,” Nash stated.

Katie Faulkner, FAIA, LEED AP, CPHC, who is the Principal at West Work, will step into the BSA’s presidency. Faulkner highlighted the diverse backgrounds represented on the incoming board, emphasizing the importance of their collective expertise as the architectural landscape evolves with technology and societal needs. “In the coming year, we will navigate how transformative technologies influence our design processes and the entry of new talents into our profession. Architects embody the judgment and rigor necessary to contribute to these transformative changes,” Faulkner remarked.

The BSA will continue its operations from their new location at 99 Chauncy Street, a downtown storefront designed to be accessible to both their members and the city. Faulkner expressed eagerness to collaborate with her new board and BSA team to bring architectural discussions to the forefront of public discourse.

The results of the board elections are notable, with Tom S. Chung, FAIA, from Leers Weinzapfel Associates, elected as the 1st Vice President/President-Elect, set to assume the presidency in 2028.
