Haseko Group's 2026 Apartment Building Touch Event
On May 23, 2026, Haseko Group, in collaboration with its labor union and Haseko Wellness Center, hosted the 'Apartment Building Touch Event' aimed at fostering understanding and pride in construction among employees and their families. This engaging event, held in the construction area of the new Koganei City project in Tokyo, welcomed 87 participants, including 38 children.
Since its inception in 1992, this event has created a unique opportunity for families to explore the construction industry, providing an up-close experience of various tasks and equipment used in the building process. During this year’s event, attendees had the chance to engage in a variety of activities including:
1.
High Washer Target Practice: Using high-pressure washers, participants aimed at targets, combining fun with skill.
2.
Elevator Trials: Attendees experienced rides in long-span construction elevators, gaining insight into the mechanisms that enable high-rise construction.
3.
Building Challenges: Families participated in quizzes and hands-on activities like creating unique structure models using paper and playing games that involved matching construction tools and materials.
4.
Heavy Machinery Photo Ops: Participants enjoyed taking memorable photos with their favorite heavy machinery, bridging the gap between work and family life.
Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, showcasing the enjoyment and sense of pride families felt through their involvement. One participant shared,
“It was impressive to see such large machinery!” while another expressed their happiness in showing their family the place where they work.
The event not only educated families about the construction process but also reinforced the value of teamwork and craftsmanship inherent in the industry. Through exciting activities, the Haseko Group aims to inspire future generations and instill a passion for construction.
