On August 27th, Puma is set to debut the highly anticipated "STRAYCAT" shoes, created in collaboration with the brand's creative director, A$AP Rocky. This innovative model draws inspiration from a trail shoe found in Puma's archives, featuring a new Vibram® sole that enhances traction and incorporates technical details reminiscent of tires. By combining rugged elements derived from trail designs with motorsport heritage, the STRAYCAT represents a significant evolution in performance-driven design.

The STRAYCAT is primarily based on the 2005 model "Ouninpohja Explorador II." It retains features from the original, such as a tire tread-inspired outsole and rough outdoor detailing that embodies the spirit of rally racing. Additionally, it sports a unique vintage finish across the upper, giving it a worn-in, distinct charm. A$AP Rocky's touch is evident in the shoe's iconic double-lace system, resulting in a bold and edgy appearance. Notably, the outsole utilizes a specially formulated Vibram® rubber compound, with a Puma Cat logo positioned near the toe for a finishing touch.
