Braille Institute's Exciting Summer Reading Program

The Braille Institute Library is gearing up to host an incredible nine-week Summer Reading Program, curated in collaboration with the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS). Running from June 15 to August 11, 2026, the Summer Reading Program will welcome participants from all walks of life—families, educators, students, and book enthusiasts alike. Through a series of live author talks conducted over Zoom, attendees will be able to delve into the art of storytelling like never before. The program offers both synchronous discussions and asynchronously enjoyed soundscapes, ensuring everyone can participate in a manner that suits their preference.

Starting with an exciting kickoff event on June 15, the program will feature best-selling author Peter Heller discussing his works with public radio journalist Maeve Conran.
