Hoshino Architects' Tokyo Dome City Landscape Renewal Chosen for European Exhibition

Tokyo Dome City Landscape Renewal: A Transformative Vision

Hoshino Architects, headquartered in Minato City, Tokyo, has recently garnered significant recognition for its ambitious project, the Tokyo Dome City Landscape Renewal. This project has been selected for the prestigious international travelling exhibition entitled "Architect@Work – Project Exhibition 2025/2026," organized by World-Architects.

The focus of this year's exhibition is on the theme of "TRANSFORMATION," emphasizing the re-use and revitalization of existing structures and public spaces. Hoshino Architects was proud to participate as the master design architect for this project, which reimagines the Tokyo Dome City area into an engaging and dynamic urban environment.

Overview of Tokyo Dome City Landscape Renewal

The Tokyo Dome City Landscape Renewal project is designed to integrate the location's flow and vibrancy into everyday life. One key element was the opening up of previously closed-off areas to create a more welcoming atmosphere. Vibrant colors adorn the flooring, guiding visitors through the space while strategically placed furniture and new stores are peppered throughout to enhance the experience.

Given the area's adaptability for various events, new retail establishments are designed in a temporary vehicle format, showcasing an airy aesthetic that resonates harmoniously with the urban fabric. Hoshino Architects also incorporated subtle architectural elements, such as steps and benches, that vary in shape and size, allowing for diverse uses and comfort for visitors.

Moreover, the project includes the installation of digital signage at numerous locations, dynamically reflecting the information and world view of the Tokyo Dome City. This infusion of technology enhances visitors' experiences, transforming the area into a newly regenerated landscape that invites exploration and engagement.
