New Short-Term Intensive Plan Offers Hope for Students to Graduate on Time

Opportunities at Mizuho MSC High School

As the academic year progresses, many students face challenges in graduating on time. To address these issues, Mizuho MSC High School, established by Mizuho Academy, has introduced a new "Short-Term Intensive Plan" effective from November 20, 2025. This initiative aims to assist high school students struggling with attendance, uncertainty about graduation, or even those who have faced the possibility of dropping out.

Flexible Learning Paths

The essence of the program lies in its online learning platform, which facilitates students to continue their education with minimal required in-person attendance. Essentially, participants need only to attend the school briefly, typically for about a week in March to finalize necessary requirements. The enrollment process is open to students wishing to transfer in December or graduate in March, even those who have received notifications from other schools indicating that they would be required to transfer in January.

Students are encouraged to engage with the school immediately, beginning their report submissions while at home during the New Year holiday. This strategic approach allows them to complete assignments, prepare for the graduation requirements, and tailor their learning experience according to their real-life situations.

Additional Benefits

One notable aspect of the Short-Term Intensive Plan is the flexibility in enrollment; students can transfer at any point, not just at the start of a month. Once application documents are submitted, students can be transferred within approximately two weeks. This rapid processing allows students to catch up swiftly and efficiently. The faculty will work closely with each student to create personalized schedules that manage their progress, ensuring those who struggle with self-management find support. Furthermore, the program will conduct essential classes and credit recognition exams specifically tailored to assist students transitioning from this intensive plan in March.

It's crucial to note that this program is designed for high school students in grades 1 through 3, accommodating those grappling with absenteeism, switching schools, or disengagement from their studies. As demonstrated in prior successes, many students found their way back to academic success through participation in this intensive approach.

Success Stories from Previous Students

Feedback from previous participants in the Short-Term Intensive Plan showcases its effectiveness. R.T. from Osaka transferred in February 2025 and was informed by prior school faculty that graduating was unlikely. However, with swift assistance from Mizuho MSC, he was able to transfer, securing the necessary credits to graduate successfully in March. He expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing the joy it brought to himself and his family.

K.A. from Shizuoka, who transferred in October 2024, faced significant health challenges that limited her course load. However, learning about the opportunities at MSC motivated her to transfer. Now in her third year, she is actively studying, aiming for university, and appreciating the tailored learning environment that helps her manage her academic pacing aligned with her health.

D.Y. from Chiba transferred in December 2024 and managed to complete 24 credits in a single year, thanks to the effective structure of the program enabling focused study at her own pace. She plans to pursue a culinary school post-graduation, hopeful about her professional journey.
