TCL Launches New TAB A1 Series at IFA 2026
TCL, a leading name in consumer electronics and the number one brand in Mini LED and ultra-large televisions, showcased its latest series,
TCL TAB A1, at the IFA 2026 event. This series, designed with versatility in mind, comprises four distinct models, catering to how people prefer to consume content, read, learn, and work on their devices.
The lineup includes the
TCL TAB A1,
TCL TAB A1 NXTPAPER,
TCL TAB A1 Plus, and
TCL TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER. Each model is characterized by two key criteria: screen size and type of display, ensuring that users have a variety of options to fit their lifestyle.
Diverse Screen Sizes and Display Modes
The
TCL TAB A1 series boasts models with either an 11-inch or 12.2-inch display. The 11-inch versions emphasize portability, while the larger
TAB A1 Plus models cover a more expansive workspace for entertainment and productivity. Within each size category, the standard display models offer everyday entertainment options, while the NXTPAPER models are optimized for reading, studying, and extended use.
According to
Stefan Streit, the marketing director of TCL Europe, "People use tablets for a multitude of purposes, ranging from streaming to studying and working. With the TCL TAB A1 series, we've established a clearer distinction based on screen size and display type, making it easier for users to find a tablet that naturally fits into their daily lives."
Portability and Screen Quality
For those who frequently transport their tablets between home, school, and work, the
11-inch TCL TAB A1 combines a slim profile of just 6.2mm with a resolution of 2.1K and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. On the other hand, the
12.2-inch TCL TAB A1 Plus offers a higher resolution of 2.4K, an aspect ratio of 32, and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, providing ample screen space for movies, web browsing, documents, and multitasking with split-screen functionality.
Enhanced Viewing Experience
Another differentiating aspect is the display type. Standard display models deliver crisp and fluid visuals ideal for streaming and web browsing. In contrast, the
NXTPAPER display models appeal to users who spend longer hours on their tablets reading, studying, or working. Features such as anti-reflective coatings, glare reduction, and hardware blue light regulation create a more comfortable viewing experience across diverse content types.
Featuring the TCL TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER
At the forefront of this series, the
TCL TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER integrates a 12.2-inch display with 2.4K resolution, NXTPAPER technology, and productivity-focused hardware. Equipped with a dedicated
NXTPAPER Key, users can quickly switch between three display modes: a standard mode for colorful entertainment, a
Color Paper mode for a softer touch when viewing illustrated content and web pages, and an
Ink Paper mode designed for focused black-and-white viewing. Moreover, customizable gestures facilitate faster access to AI functions, apps, and the NXTPAPER interface.
Android 16 and Productivity Features
All four models of the
TCL TAB A1 run on
Android 16 and combine Google services with productivity features developed by TCL. This allows users to seamlessly integrate their tasks and entertainment into a cohesive experience.
Pricing and Availability
The
TCL TAB A1 series will be available in select European markets. Specific pricing, color options, configurations, packaging content, and availability may vary by country and sales channel. TCL will provide localized details in each market shortly.
