The Kabukicho Game Festival 2026 (KGF2026) is a vibrant new event aiming to illuminate Tokyo's iconic Kabukicho district with a fusion of gaming and idol culture. Held over two days on April 4th and 5th, this festival is poised to attract people of all ages to enjoy immersive gaming experiences and entertainment activities across various venues in the Shinjuku area.

The project is spearheaded by the KGF Executive Committee, consisting of businesses and organizations focused on gaming, amusement, and entertainment in the vibrant Kabukicho neighborhood. The vision for the festival is to transform Kabukicho into a joyous hub where both locals and visitors can come together to celebrate and enjoy a diverse array of entertainment options, reviving its historical reputation as one of Asia’s leading entertainment districts.

An Exciting Combination of Games and Idols

The overarching theme of this inaugural festival is "Colorful Kabukicho!" as it aims to incorporate a variety of entertainment experiences, evident from its lineup of engaging stage events, competitions, and live performances featuring popular idols. With the slogan, "Creating a town enjoyable for everyone," KGF2026 sets out to showcase the revamped allure of Kabukicho, uniting leagues of gamers and idol fans alike.

Official Ambassadors: iLiFE!

We are thrilled to announce that the idol group iLiFE! will serve as the official ambassadors for KGF2026. Adopting the concept of “My Idol Life,” they will not only perform live music but also engage in numerous interactive activities related to the festival. Their collaboration with Sega’s beloved game series "Puyo Puyo"—celebrating its 35th anniversary—will further highlight the spirit of the event. A variety of collaborative merchandise featuring the exciting designs will be available for attendees.

An Array of Activities and Ticket Sales

Festival-goers can purchase wristband-type tickets which grant access to main activities, including gaming competitions and idol live performances at the KABUKICHO TOWER STAGE. Additionally, special discounts will apply at various local game centers and bowling alleys participating in the festival.

Scheduled Events

April 4 (Saturday): HEROINES IDOL LIVE & GAME STAGE - fans will witness idol groups from the HEROINES roster battling through exhilarating game competitions and captivating performances.
April 5 (Sunday): KABUKICHO IDOL & GAME STAGE - a culmination of energetic music performances and exciting gaming initiatives from diverse idol groups.

Tickets will go on sale in early March, which include options ranging from general admission at 3,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for children, to various priority and VIP tickets offering exclusive perks like T-shirts and reserved sections for performances.
