Empowering Female Founders: Boundless Futures Foundation's $65,000 Investment in Socially Conscious Businesses

The Boundless Futures Foundation recently announced a significant investment aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs. A total of $65,000 in EmpowHer grants was awarded to three exceptional female-led companies during the second quarter, focusing on fostering growth alongside a commitment to community and sustainability. This initiative not only supports female founders but also addresses pressing social issues through innovative business solutions.

Co-founded by Soon and McKeel Hagerty, the Boundless Futures Foundation has already allocated over $800,000 in grants since its inception in late 2023. The foundation specifically aims to eliminate barriers for women entrepreneurs and provide resources to help them successfully launch and grow their businesses.

Among the recipients of the recent grants are:

1. BirdieBlue (Morristown, Vermont) - Founded by Kate Harvey, this innovative company transforms discarded ski and snowboard gear into stylish and functional carry bags. By reusing materials that would typically end up in landfills, BirdieBlue not only promotes sustainability but also creates fair-wage job opportunities for women in rural communities. The company has been awarded a $25,000 grant to further its mission.

2. Mini Donut Diva (Boston, Massachusetts) - Founded by Melissa Frettoloso, this made-to-order mini donut shop is committed to making a positive impact in the community by donating a portion of its profits to local causes. As the company looks to expand its charitable initiatives further, it has received a $15,000 grant to enhance its operations.

3. SAÉA (San Diego, California) - Spearheaded by Shezal Babar, SAÉA partners with Pakistani artisans to create elegant home décor using 100% natural stone. Their approach not only respects traditional craftsmanship but also ensures products are packaged without plastics or harmful treatments. SAÉA has been awarded a $25,000 grant to amplify its community contributions and environmental consciousness.

Each grant recipient is paired with a dedicated Advisory Circle of seasoned female entrepreneurs who offer support in areas such as business coaching, mentorship, and networking opportunities. This network is designed to empower female founders during the crucial early stages of their business ventures.

Beyond direct grant funding, the Boundless Futures Foundation is collaborating with Kiva, a global nonprofit organization, to conduct a new co-sponsored impact survey aimed at understanding the societal significance of women-led businesses. This initiative demonstrates the foundation's commitment to providing ongoing support and resources for female entrepreneurs.

The Boundless Futures Foundation has a proud legacy of providing high-quality support and funding designed to facilitate the growth of women-founded businesses in the United States. Their mission centers around not just financial assistance but also nurturing a supportive environment where female entrepreneurs can thrive.
