Pathways LA's Seeds of Hope Gala: A Night to Remember

On May 16, 2026, Pathways LA gathered over 155 supporters at the annual Seeds of Hope Gala, breaking their previous fundraising records by raising more than $100,000. This remarkable event not only marked a financial milestone but also highlighted the organization’s 48 years of dedication towards enriching the lives of families across Los Angeles County.

A Platform for Community Engagement

The Seeds of Hope Gala is a cornerstone event for Pathways LA, showcasing its commitment to family engagement and the vital services that connect families with critical resources, educational opportunities, and essential support systems. By facilitating these connections, Pathways LA plays a crucial role in strengthening the community as a whole.

This year's event saw an impressive turnout from staff, board members, donors, public officials, childcare providers, corporate partners, and long-time advocates of the organization’s mission. Their presence underscored the collective will to address and support the needs of families in the region.

Acknowledging Supporters and Partners

The success of the gala would not have been possible without the generous contributions from sponsors including Capital Group, CareConnect, and L.A. Care Health Plan. Additionally, many Friends of Pathways LA stepped forward, such as Child Care Resource Center and Farmers Merchants Bank, whose early support helped set the tone for the evening.

Councilwoman Heather Hutt graced the event with her presence, delivering an inspiring speech on the necessity of investing in families and early childhood education. Her words echoed the fundamental goal of Pathways LA and reminded attendees of the importance of community-based support services.

Honoring a Legacy of Service

The gala also recognized significant partners who have shown unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children and families. Honorees included PBS SoCal and The Nancy Painter Foundation, in addition to an exceptional childcare provider whose dedication has profoundly influenced countless families throughout the community.

The evening was emceed by KTLA anchor Wendy Burch, who infused the event with her trademark warmth and humor. A special video message from Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell was shared, encouraging guests to continue investing in the vitality of children and families.

In her remarks, a representative from Pathways LA reflected on nearly five decades of service: “Tonight, we gather to celebrate 48 years of serving our community. Pathways LA stands on the shoulders of those who came before us and the vision of our founder, Bea Gold, who believed every child should have access to quality childcare.”

A Call for Continued Support

As families increasingly face rising challenges, the Seeds of Hope Gala served both as a celebration of achievements and as a call to action. It emphasized the power of community collaboration in overcoming obstacles and fostering a brighter future.

Pathways LA sincerely expresses gratitude to every sponsor, donor, volunteer, attendee, committee member, and supporter for making the event a resounding success. This collective effort is a testament to the positive impact of community engagement in uplifting families across Los Angeles.
