GX SHIBUYA Festival: A Collaborative Environmental Showcase for Future Generations

Exploring the Future at GX SHIBUYA Festival

The upcoming GX SHIBUYA Festival, organized by SWiTCH, aims to bring awareness of environmental issues to future generations through collaboration between elementary students and businesses in Shibuya. Scheduled to take place on September 18 and 19, 2025, at the Shibuya Sakura Stage, this unique event provides an opportunity for children to learn about sustainability while actively participating in the discussion alongside corporations.

Purpose of the Festival

GX SHIBUYA Festival is part of the Green Xrossing Shibuya Project, co-hosted with the Shibuya Station Area Management Association. Launched in 2024, this project seeks to engage visitors to the area in a dialogue about global environmental challenges and to promote Shibuya as a sustainable urban model on the world stage. Previously, initiatives have featured sustainability projects through various installations in the Shibuya area, aimed at raising awareness and promoting communal actions regarding environmental conservation.

At the festival, children from Shibuya's elementary schools will showcase their innovative ideas and merge them with the corporate initiatives. This cooperative effort aims to provide attendees with experiential learning opportunities about environmental issues and envisioning a sustainable future together.
