Promoting Psychological Safety at Work During Pride Month with Randstad's Innovative Campaigns

Embracing Diversity: Randstad's Initiatives for Pride Month

Randstad, a leading provider of comprehensive human resource services, is taking significant steps to promote psychological safety and inclusivity in the workplace during Pride Month. From June 1 to June 14, the company will host a unique quiz campaign on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, inviting participants to enhance their knowledge about LGBTQI+ issues and Randstad’s diversity initiatives. By answering daily quizzes related to the special interview articles celebrating Pride Month, participants have a chance to win Amazon gift vouchers worth 1,000 yen.

Action Plan to Raise Awareness

The campaign aims to engage people in fun and informative ways, prompting introspection and discussions about LGBTQI+ rights and social issues. Each day, one quiz question will be featured, focusing on facts surrounding diversity, inclusion, and real-life stories. To enter the contest, users must follow the official Randstad X account (@randstadjapan) and share the campaign posts. A lucky draw will reward 100 participants, making it an exciting opportunity for everyone to learn and contribute.

Fostering Inclusion: Special Interviews

In conjunction with this campaign, Randstad is releasing a series of special interview articles on its 'Career HUB' content site. Starting June 1, these interviews will feature prominent voices in the LGBTQI+ community, including acclaimed essayist and drag performer Bourbon, alongside Ayumi Kojima, a director of the Chofu LGBTQ and Ally Association, who is also the author of 'ALLY: How to Become an Ally.' Hosted by Randstad's Chief Human Resources Officer Yoshi Schutt and HR Business Partner Yasumasa Yano, these interviews challenge conventional thinking and delve into what it means to create an inclusive workplace. These powerful narratives are expected to resonate with readers, offering insights into actionable steps for fostering an environment that embraces each individual’s true self.

Visualizing the Gap: The Survey

Randstad also plans to conduct an engaging survey during the 'Tokyo Pride 2026' event, taking place on June 6 and 7 at Yoyogi Park. The survey will utilize a sticker voting format to gather public feedback on the perceived progress of LGBTQI+ legal rights versus the day-to-day comfort of individuals in their working environments. This initiative will visually present insights into the societal and workplace gaps experienced by the LGBTQI+ community, underscoring the need for psychological safety beyond mere legal frameworks.

Visitors to the Randstad booth at the Pride event will receive exclusive rainbow neck straps and font tabs, which will feature QR codes linking to the special interview articles. This initiative serves to spread awareness not only about Randstad’s commitment to EDI&B (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging) but also encourages attendees to reflect on their own experiences and perspectives.

The Tokyo Pride Event

The 'Tokyo Pride 2026' celebration, organized by the Tokyo Rainbow Pride Nonprofit Organization, brings together various events honoring LGBTQI+ rights and diversity. The festival seeks to create a society where everyone can live authentically, featuring parades, festivals, art exhibitions, and conferences. The theme for this year's event is 'A Future Opened by Diversity and Equality.' With an aim to inspire change and dialogue, Randstad is committed to being an active participant in this important societal event.

Join the Campaign

Randstad's campaigns during Pride Month reflect a deep commitment to supporting diverse talents and creating an equitable workplace environment. The social media campaign runs from June 1 to June 14, with daily quizzes that allow individuals to expand their knowledge while participating in discussions surrounding LGBTQI+ diversity.

This is not just about awareness; it's a meaningful stride toward understanding and inclusivity. As we celebrate Pride Month, Randstad continues to reaffirm its support for the LGBTQI+ community and advocates for psychological safety in all workplaces, illustrating that every person deserves the right to be their authentic selves.

Together, let’s advocate for a future where inclusiveness thrives—one quiz, one interview, one promise at a time.
