Experience Traditional Japanese Culture at Keio Plaza Hotel
From February 26 to March 26, 2024, every Thursday (with the exception of March 12), Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku will host a captivating event titled "Kagurazaka Geisha Colors of the Seasons". This event allows guests to enjoy free performances by the renowned Kagurazaka geisha, who are inheritors of the Shinjuku's intangible cultural heritage, known as "Kagurazaka Odori".
As cherry blossom season approaches in March—one of the busiest periods for foreign visitors—this event highlights the beauty and elegance of traditional Japanese arts, making it a perfect opportunity for both hotel guests and visitors to immerse themselves in the unique culture of Kagurazaka. The performances will be enriched with live shamisen music, providing an authentic experience that reflects the region's artistic heritage.
Since its opening in 1971, Keio Plaza Hotel has actively organized various cultural events, particularly ones that showcase local experiences and workshops. This commitment aligns with our vision of enhancing the cultural value of Shinjuku as a vibrant hub where diverse communities converge.
