Advancements in Green Hydrogen
One of the key features of Shanghai Electric's presentation was the Bristack-Z1000 alkaline electrolyzer, which represents a significant milestone in flexible support and efficient gas-liquid transfer technology. This electrolyzer promises a lower energy consumption with a high power density, delivering a remarkable response time and demonstrating a direct current consumption that is 12% below the industry standard, as certified by TÜV Rheinland.
Sustainable Formaldehyde Production
Shanghai Electric's sustainable formaldehyde production technology incorporates pure oxygen gasification, fluidized bed gasification, and high-temperature tar conversion. The resulting system is not only energy-efficient but also compact, providing high capacity and flexibility. By integrating volatile wind and solar energy sources, this technology significantly reduces carbon emissions and fosters a more sustainable production process.
Photovoltaic Innovations
Continuing its efforts in renewable energy, the company introduced the Creator 210R series of photovoltaic heterojunction modules. These high-efficiency modules boast bifacial capabilities and a low temperature coefficient, marking them as next-generation monocrystalline solar modules. With a kinetic energy capacity of 140 MW/s and an inertia time constant of 11.2 seconds, the system responds quickly to immediate demands, ensuring a consistent energy supply.

Their applications extend from short- and long-term energy storage to decentralized and household solutions, ensuring maximum customer benefits through comprehensive lithium battery lifecycle management.
Addressing Water Scarcity
In response to the impending water crisis in the Middle East and North Africa, Shanghai Electric presented its third-generation desalination technology. Utilizing thermal film coupling technology, this innovation significantly enhances heat transfer efficiency while reducing energy consumption. By integrating thermal and membrane processes, the technology minimizes the cost of water production and land use, resulting in substantial freshwater generation capabilities at energy costs below 2 kWh per ton and an annual utilization rate exceeding 95%.
