The anticipation is palpable as NC Corporation announces the global Launch Scale Test for their highly anticipated MMORPG, AION2. This marks a key milestone, allowing players to experience the game ahead of its official release, set for October 5, 2026.

Test Schedule

The Launch Scale Test is divided into several critical stages:

• - Pre-download: From September 16, 2026, 22:00 JST to September 17, 2026, 22:00 JST.
• - Day 1: September 17, 2026, 22:00 JST to September 18, 2026, 4:00 JST.
• - Day 2: September 19, 2026, 4:00 JST to September 19, 2026, 10:00 JST.

Overview of Launch Scale Test

The Launch Scale Test presents a golden opportunity for players to immerse themselves in the world of AION2. Participation is simple, with no entry keys or prior registration necessary. Interested players can join via Steam or the proprietary NC platform, PURPLE. Each participant is allowed to play for a total of six hours per day, amounting to a total of 12 hours over the two days. Progress made on Day 1 will carry over to Day 2; however, all progress will reset after the test concludes.

Important Notice: Players using Steam must uninstall the Playtest App after the test and download AION2 again for the early access on September 30, 2026, or the formal launch on October 5, 2026. Please bear in mind that certain features and content may have restrictions during the test, and details are available on the official website.

Class Diagnostic Campaign

In addition to the test, NC Corporation is excited to introduce a Class Diagnostic campaign. This feature will help players identify which class fits their play style best. Available from September 15, 2026, 12:00 JST on the official AION2 website, the diagnostic asks players a series of questions and returns a suggested class alongside a character illustration that showcases the class's characteristics and weapons.

Social Media Engagement and Prizes

AION2 is also running a promotional campaign encouraging players to post their gameplay experiences during the Launch Scale Test. Players who share URLs, videos, and screenshots on X with specific hashtags will have the chance to win several Founder's Pack Steam keys.
