Canton Fair Enhances Global Partnerships to Foster Collaborative Growth
Canton Fair Expands Global Cooperation for Joint Growth
On October 16, the Canton Fair conducted a signing ceremony for its 140th Global Cooperative Partners, marking a significant milestone in fostering international trade partnerships. The event was highlighted by speeches delivered by Zhu Yong, General Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre (CFTC), Eugene Seroka, Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles, and Ali El Abdallah, President of the Lebanese-Chinese Economic Association, in front of over 70 distinguished attendees.
Zhu Yong emphasized that the Canton Fair Global Cooperative Partners Program is in alignment with Premier Li Qiang's vision, which aims to embrace the trend of economic globalization and respond to the global community's call for collaborative development. This latest round of agreements signifies a more profound network of partners, offering broader and more effective matchmaking services and elevating the standard of collaboration between entities engaged in international trade.
Eugene Seroka characterized the partnership with the Canton Fair as a fresh start based on mutual trust, which not only promotes business growth but also advances shared progress.
The Canton Fair has welcomed new partnerships with eight organizations, including notable entities such as the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China, Joinco, the Palestinian Business Association, the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), the Polish-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Port of Los Angeles. Additionally, the relationships with two existing partners, the Lebanese-Chinese Business Association and the China Information and Culture Centre in Kenya, have been revitalized.
These new alliances provide crucial access points from a significant North American port gateway to established European markets, covering a diverse array of shipping, logistics companies, business associations, and leading procurement firms. With the conclusion of the 140th Fair, the Canton Fair has formed partnerships with 240 organizations spanning 112 countries and regions.
In a congratulatory message for the 140th Canton Fair, President Xi Jinping noted that China is prepared to collaborate with nations worldwide to uphold a multilateral trading system while expanding the avenues for mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation. This cooperative spirit will lead the Canton Fair to extend its collaboration beyond merely goods trading into aspects such as joint brand development, collaborative market exploration, and shared services.
As the world continues to recover from recent economic challenges, the Canton Fair is poised to further cement its role as a key global trading platform. It seeks to respond to the evolving needs of businesses and enterprises while nurturing a healthier international trade environment. To further engage with this transformative initiative, interested parties can apply for pre-registration via the official Canton Fair registration portal.
This expansion not only reflects the Canton Fair's commitment to enhancing collaborative efforts but also its readiness to adapt to the demands of the global marketplace, ensuring mutual growth and sustainability for all partners involved.
