AM General Showcases Innovative Military Vehicles at Eurosatory 2026

PARIS, June 11, 2026 – At the upcoming Eurosatory event, AM General, a frontrunner in military vehicle manufacturing and mobile defense solutions, is set to unveil its next-generation military vehicles. Among the highlights are the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) and the JLTV A2, both equipped with sophisticated anti-aircraft defense systems. The exhibition will take place from June 15 to June 19, 2026, at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte in Paris, in Pavilion 5, Booth B189 - representing the United States.

Pioneering the Future of Military Operations

The AM General UGV is an advanced autonomous ground vehicle designed for versatility, durability, and operational excellence. This cutting-edge vehicle represents a transformative step forward in military mobility, bringing innovative technology to the battlefield.

The JLTV A2, on the other hand, meets mission requirements across a spectrum of military operations and presents significant enhancements over its predecessor, the JLTV A1. With the introduction of over 1,000 modifications, the JLTV A2 showcases remarkable upgrades in efficiency, reliability, maintenance, and operational capabilities.

John Chadbourne, President and CEO of AM General, expressed, "Eurosatory provides industry leaders and armed forces the opportunity to discuss the evolution of the battlefield and how it can be actively shaped by utilizing cutting-edge technology like AM General's UGV. We have demonstrated through this platform that autonomous mobile technology can serve multiple applications, ranging from logistical support to casualty evacuation, lethal missions, and defensive operations, as showcased with the Hornet C-UAS remote weapon station at the event."

Specifics of the UGV and JLTV A2

The UGV showcases how tested tactical vehicle platforms can be converted into modular unmanned systems ready for missions. Developed in collaboration with Textron Systems Corporation and Carnegie Robotics, the platform integrates a robust chassis from AM General with advanced autonomy features, electronic control technologies, and scalable payloads. With an enhanced 250-horsepower engine and a payload capacity of up to 2,720 kg, the UGV is adept at various missions, including logistics, reconnaissance, casualty evacuation, and armed surveillance. During the expo, it will be fitted with the Hornet remote weapon station, capable of counter-drone operations, emphasizing the modularity of the platform and its capability to integrate combat-relevant deployed systems, thus enhancing operational reach and soldier protection.

In addition to the UGV, the JLTV A2, designed for four occupants, integrates the Hornet Lite, a lightweight remote weapons system providing enhanced detection, recognition, and identification capabilities for reconnaissance missions. The platform's noteworthy improvements over the A1 model solidify it as the most capable light tactical vehicle ever produced by AM General. Currently, the JLTV A2 is being delivered to the U.S. Government for testing and evaluation.
