SANY Group Expands Global Footprint with Major Equipment Deliveries to South America and Thailand
Expanding Horizons: SANY Group’s Global Milestones
SANY Group has recently made leaps in its international market presence through substantial machinery deliveries to countries in South America and Thailand. This expansion reflects its robust commitment to building a global service network while meeting varying operational needs across different markets.
On August 7, 2026, SANY announced the signing of a significant contract with Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) for the delivery of 26 port machines to a South American container terminal. This includes six state-of-the-art Ship-to-Shore cranes and 20 Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes. Such equipment is designed for high efficiency and safety, enabling HGT to handle the increasing freight volumes while maintaining exceptional service.
According to Dheeraj Bhatia, Managing Director of HGT, "The signing of this contract signifies a milestone achievement for our goal of establishing a world-class port. SANY’s machinery will form a strong foundation for safe and efficient port operations, allowing us to better serve our clients and contribute to regional economic growth."
Zhou Guoyuan, Chairman of SANY Marine, highlighted that this contract represents another step forward in SANY’s global expansion strategy. He emphasized SANY's focus on utilizing its port and logistics machinery expertise to help clients enhance their operational efficiency.
Moreover, SANY Heavy Industry contributed to this international venture by delivering 40 Electric Wheel Loaders (EWL) of the model SW970E to the world's largest rice mill located in Thailand. With Thailand producing over 20 million tons of milled rice annually, the nation stands among the top three exporters globally. Rice mills face challenging operational conditions involving high dust levels and intensive workloads, necessitating machines that prioritize environmental sustainability, low noise, and reliable performance.
The SW970E was specifically designed for operation in rice mills and is recognized for its long operating hours, zero emissions, low noise levels, and enhanced safety features. Following this delivery, the customer placed a subsequent order for 50 units of the SW956E Electric Wheel Loader. Together, these models will manage material transport throughout the entire rice production cycle—from initial processing to final packaging—while advancing the use of electric machinery in Thailand’s rice industry.
Looking forward, SANY is determined to continue expanding its international footprint with efficient and environmentally-friendly products that drive the shift towards more sustainable industrial practices. By tailoring solutions to meet diverse market demands, SANY is not just delivering machinery but is also contributing significantly to the operational advancements in the sectors it serves.
Ultimately, SANY’s strategic maneuvers underscore its commitment to enhancing global economic frameworks through innovation and sustainable practices, positioning the brand as a leader in the machinery sector worldwide.
