ICP DAS-BMP to Showcase Medical TPU Innovations at COMPAMED 2026
ICP DAS-BMP, a leading Taiwanese manufacturer and supplier of medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), will participate in the COMPAMED 2026 trade fair, held in Düsseldorf, Germany from November 16 to 19, 2026. The company will be located at Hall 8b, Stand C09, where they plan to unveil their extensive TPU portfolio as well as introduce the newly formed Taiwan TPU Alliance.
Innovations to Highlight
During the event, two of their innovative TPU products will take center stage: the Low Migration Series and the Low Friction Series.
Low Migration Series
The Low Migration Arothane™ ARP-B20 TPU has been formulated in accordance with ISO 10993 standards, making it suitable for use in implants lasting up to 90 days. This formulation is designed to minimize the migration of additives into the medical device surface, thus helping to maintain long-term stability.
Low Friction Series
The Low Friction Series TPU features a naturally smooth surface that eliminates the need for coatings or post-processing, providing a more comfortable experience during the use of guidewire invasive catheters. Completely made from TPU and free from PFAS and plasticizers, these materials enhance control and comfort in invasive medical applications.
Extended Product Range
Beyond the highlighted series, ICP DAS-BMP will also display devices under the ARP, ALP, and ALC series, which comply with ISO 10993-1 standards for limited, long-term, and prolonged contact durations. The ARP/ALP/ALC-B20/B40 series contains 20-40% barium sulfate for radio-opacity in medical applications, while the ARP-W/WG series is enhanced with 40-60% tungsten for improved visibility in invasive or implantable devices. Furthermore, the Engineering Arothane™ EARP series offers transparency and mechanical durability for orthodontic and precision components.
Taiwan TPU Alliance
In addition to showcasing their products, ICP DAS-BMP will join the Taiwan TPU Alliance, which was recently initiated by fellow TPU tubing manufacturer Towards Buddha Co., Ltd. The alliance aims to unite key industry players, including extrusion machine manufacturers such as INTYPE ENTERPRISE CO., LTD.; injection molding component makers like Chi Feng Co., Ltd.; auxiliary equipment suppliers for the rubber and plastics industry, A-MAX TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.; and manufacturers of air compressors and vacuum pumps, ANEST IWATA SPARMAX Co., Ltd. This collaborative effort will enhance expertise across the entire TPU and medical device production value chain, from injection molding and extrusion machinery to auxiliary devices and vacuum systems.
