Exciting Matching Events for Regional Revitalization in Japan

Upcoming Matching Events for Regional Revitalization

In a notable initiative aimed at enhancing regional revitalization efforts across Japan, corporate entities Betsushiten and Kayac are joining forces under the auspices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. This collaboration will set the stage for a series of matching events targeted at aspiring volunteers for the Regional Vitalization Cooperation Corps, as well as municipalities looking to welcome these individuals into their communities.

Background and Purpose of the Events

Betsushiten, based in Chuo City, Tokyo and represented by President Yuto Tachinai, has established itself as a key player in event planning and community revitalization projects. The company will manage the events entitled "Regional Revitalization Matchmaking Caravan," focusing on fostering meaningful connections between individuals interested in the Regional Vitalization Cooperation Corps and municipalities eager to host them.

Continuing from the previous year, Kayac, located in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture and led by CEO Daisuke Yanagisawa, has been contracted for overall planning and operations regarding the strategic promotion of the Regional Vitalization Cooperation Corps. Both Betsushiten and Kayac are committed to developing an event structure that enhances communication and effective matchmaking between participants and welcoming municipalities.

The upcoming 2024 event will also feature Smart as an exhibitor.

In addition to the matchmaking events, 2024 will see the launching of an online event titled "Gathering! Regional Vitalization Cooperation Corps," featuring current members and alumni, and a collaboration with Kayac called "Regional Scramble Operation in Kamakura."

In 2023, Betsushiten organized interactive community games designed to rediscover local attractions, such as the "Prince Park Walking Game" aimed at children and the "Hatoyama New Town Shopping Street Discovery Walking Rally," encouraging community engagement through playful exploration.
