The Ikebukuro Community College is proud to announce its collaboration with Toyota's Mobility Division through the Kids Toyota Learn Park, aiming to create a sustainable future where individual happiness thrives. This initiative offers a range of educational experiences focusing on environmental issues and programming, providing children with enjoyable and enriching opportunities that support their growth.

Workshop Overview

On January 12, 2026, the Kids Toyota Learn Park will host two captivating programs tailored for different age groups:

1. TOYOTA UPCYCLE Leather Craft Workshop

• - Target Age: 3 years and older
• - Workshop Times:

- 10:15 AM – 11:00 AM
- 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM
- 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM
- 3:00 PM – 3:45 PM
- 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM

• - Fee: 3,000 JPY (tax included)

In this workshop, participants will utilize offcuts of car seat leather to craft their unique keychains. Through this hands-on activity, children will learn about the concept of 'upcycling,' which breathes new life into discarded materials. This creative opportunity allows them to participate in making one-of-a-kind keychains while understanding the importance of sustainable practices in the business world.

2. Toyota Future School Mobility Programming Class

• - Target Age: Elementary school students (1st grade and up, accompanied by parents)
• - Workshop Times:

- 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
- 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

• - Participation Fee: Free

This innovative program encourages children to approach societal issues through the lens of programming. Participants will engage with various challenges, learning to tackle local problems while honing their programming skills. By arranging cards such as “move forward” and “turn right,” they will creatively devise programming solutions to assist community members.
