Revival Screening of Revue Starlight

The highly acclaimed movie Revue Starlight, originally released on June 4, 2021, will be returning to theaters for a revival screening. From August 29, 2023, fans can enjoy the film again in 34 locations across Japan, presented by Bushiroad, under the leadership of President Takayuki Kidani.

The film depicts the challenges faced by aspiring theater actresses, known as "Stage Girls," who engage in captivating songs, dances, and ensemble performances called "Revues." The film continues to resonate with audiences, resulting in a strong repeat viewership. Even four years after its initial release, the demand for its return remains high.

Special Features for the 8th Anniversary Celebration

This revival screening coincides with the 8th anniversary of the Starlight franchise. One of the highlights is the inclusion of exclusive footage from the January-held, 4th Starlight Live “Starry Ocean.” Each week will feature different segments of the concert, creating an enticing reason for fans to return to the theater multiple times.

Overview of Revue Starlight

Revue Starlight is a multi-layered media mix project spanning musicals and anime, celebrating a decade since its inception in 2017. After its stage premiere, the franchise saw the broadcast of a TV anime series in 2018, the release of a compilation film in 2020, and finally, a brand-new theatrical installment in 2021. Set for release in August 2024 is the first console game titled Starlight Symphony of Distant Eldorado, followed in November by a theatrical performance based on the game’s scenario.
