Airbnb Japan has officially announced its partnership with Gamba Osaka as a Bronze Partner for the 2026/27 season. This collaboration with one of Japan's leading football clubs marks a significant step for the company in enhancing the travel experiences of football fans across the country.
Gamba Osaka, renowned for its strong following and impressive achievements, boasts an annual home game attendance of approximately 570,000, averaging 30,000 fans per match, and has secured ten titles over its storied history. The club's dedicated supporters often embark on away games, traveling to various regions to enjoy the games and the unique local cultures. This aspect of fan engagement aligns seamlessly with Airbnb's diverse range of listings and the travel experiences it offers.
To commemorate this new partnership, Airbnb has launched a special campaign titled “Stay on Airbnb and Support Gamba Osaka!” aimed at engaging the club's fanbase. This campaign will run from July 1 to October 11, 2026, coinciding with the start of official J-League matches on August 7.
Campaign Details
The campaign is conducted in collaboration with V Point Marketing, an official partner of Gamba Osaka. Fans can enter the campaign through a dedicated landing page hosted on the Airbnb navi platform. To participate, they must link their V Point accounts and book accommodations worth over ¥10,000 on Airbnb during the campaign period. Successful participants will enjoy an increased V Point earning rate, rising from the standard 0.5% to an enticing 2.5%. Additionally, there are exciting prizes to be won through a lucky draw.
