SHOWCASE vol.2: Hokkaido / Tohoku by ArtSticker
Art lovers in Tokyo have a remarkable event to look forward to as the Chain Museum presents the latest exhibition,
SHOWCASE vol.2: Hokkaido / Tohoku by ArtSticker, at their Roppongi venue,
Art ka Bifun ka Paichu. Running from
August 12 to August 30, 2025, this exhibition highlights the creativity of 18 artists hailing from the Hokkaido and Tohoku regions of Japan.
The exhibition will be divided into two segments: the first from
August 12 to August 20 and the second from
August 21 to August 30. Each period will showcase different artworks, providing fresh experiences for visitors. This initiative is part of a broader aim to create accessible spaces where art can be appreciated, free from the constraints of traditional galleries.
A Vision for Artistic Accessibility
The Chain Museum's establishment of
Art ka Bifun ka Paichu, which translates to “Art or Rice Noodles or White Kitchen,” stems from a desire to engage visitors with art in a relaxed setting. The goal is to create a casual environment where one can appreciate art while enjoying delicious Taiwanese cuisine. This series also follows the success of their first proposal,
SHOWCASE by ArtSticker, which focused on publicizing new talent in the art scene.
In today's digital age, meeting artists and experiencing their work firsthand in physical spaces is becoming increasingly rare, especially for those based in regional areas. Consequently, this exhibition aims to connect emerging artists with art enthusiasts in Tokyo, positioning Roppongi as a hub for discovering a new wave of Japanese art.
