Kubota's Commitment to Community Development
Kubota Tractor Corporation has once again demonstrated its dedication to community development through its Hometown Proud® grant program. This year, in its fifth iteration, Kubota has awarded ten outstanding local nonprofits each $50,000 in cash and equipment. The initiative reflects Kubota’s ongoing commitment to support organizations that are making tangible changes in the communities they serve.
The total contribution from Kubota since the grant program's launch has surpassed an impressive $2.4 million, emphasizing the company's goal of fostering sustainable community growth. Each of the selected projects uniquely addresses the needs of its respective locality, showcasing diversity in both the causes supported and the methods employed.
The 2025 grant recipients include a range of initiatives such as equestrian therapy centers, urban farming projects, and educational programs aimed at empowering the next generation of farmers. Notable recipients include:
- - 6 Stones® (Euless, Texas): Focused on revitalizing the community through their Community Powered Revitalization project, supported by Kubota of Dallas.
- - Coping Together (Frankfort, Ill.): This organization will utilize funds for their Ranch Therapy Town project, receiving support from McCullough Equipment Group.
- - Crawford County Parks Board (Marengo, Ind.): Their playground initiative, which enhances community recreational spaces, is backed by Jacobi Sales, Inc.
- - University of Hawai'i Foundation (Honolulu, Hawaii): Dedicated to shaping future farmers through the GoFarm Hawai'i project, receiving support from Bacon Universal.
Other winners include local schools enhancing agricultural facilities, urban farms restoring greenhouses, and community organizations providing landscaping services for seniors. Each project was meticulously chosen from a pool of over 1,000 applications across Kubota’s ten operational districts, highlighting both the need in these communities as well as the passion behind the proposed solutions.
Alex Woods, President of Kubota Tractor Corporation, expressed pride in the initiative: "Each year, we are inspired by the dedication and impact of local nonprofits, and we are honored to help empower their important work."
In addition to the grant program, Kubota also hosted a sweepstakes event, allowing consumers to win a sub-compact tractor and nominate a local nonprofit for a mini-grant, furthering the spirit of community engagement. The winner, Ken W. from Roberts, Wisconsin, nominated Coco's Heart Dog Rescue to receive additional funding, demonstrating the interconnectedness of community support and local businesses.
The grant program aims not only to provide financial backing but also to create lasting partnerships between nonprofit organizations and Kubota dealers, ensuring that the positive impact is felt long after the funds have been distributed. By fostering community ties, Kubota is embedding itself deeper into the fabric of American life, creating a legacy of support that extends beyond the agricultural sector into community development and social welfare.
As the program continues to expand and evolve, Kubota encourages more nonprofits to apply for the grants in future years, reiterating its mission to uplift and empower local communities nationwide. These grants not only provide vital resources but also inspire others to contribute to the well-being of their neighborhoods, illustrating the power of collaboration in making a meaningful difference.
With ongoing support and recognition, Kubota’s Hometown Proud grant program illustrates the potential for corporate responsibility to create waves of positive change throughout under-resourced communities across the country.
