XCMG Hosts 15th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for AI and Construction Machinery

In an exciting development for innovators and tech enthusiasts, XCMG has opened registrations for the 15th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, particularly emphasizing the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and construction machinery. The competition, which runs under the slogan "Green Intelligence for a Better World", invites engineers, scientists, and aspiring technologists to design solutions that push forward the boundaries of intelligent and eco-friendly technologies in construction machinery.

The significance of this competition goes beyond mere accolades; it serves as a launching pad for fresh and innovative solutions. By facilitating the transition of technology from laboratories to actual construction sites, it fosters a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and partnership development. Participants can engage through three distinct tracks: the Professional Contest, Customer Co-Creation, and Open Challenge, catering to universities in China and abroad, research institutions, international clients, supply chain partners, and technology companies.

The Professional Contest segment is particularly tailored for unlisted companies and includes contestant groups focused on AI-integrated solutions across three specific domains: AI + Product design, exploring innovative configurations of complete machinery and intelligent architecture; AI + Operational Scenarios, which includes autonomous workflows and energy supply models for various sectors like mining and agriculture; and lastly, AI + Operations, involving AI agents for analyzing demands and enhancing customer interactions.

On the other hand, the Customer Co-Creation track aims at developing practical solutions for real-world challenges faced in sectors such as mining and agriculture, emphasizing machine packages, lifecycle operations, and unmanned operations. Meanwhile, the Open Challenge invites participants to tackle three technical hurdles, which include achieving a task success rate of at least 95% in autonomous earth excavation under complex conditions, ensuring a sensor fusion recognition accuracy of 97% in dusty environments, and accurately assessing battery health under demanding operational standards with an estimation error not exceeding 3%.

This annual competition is co-organized by a coalition of prestigious institutions, including the Torch Center for High-tech Industry Development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, the Xuzhou Municipal Government, and several industry associations related to machinery and construction, with XCMG prominently featured as one of the sponsors.

By participating in this competition, projects not only receive pathways to commercialization and financing opportunities but also gain access to talent acquisition and long-term developmental support, expediting their journey from competition to market entry. Registrations are open until September 15, with project submission deadlines set for September 25, following Beijing time. Interested participants are encouraged to visit the official competition website at www.cxcyds.com or XCMG's site at www.xcmg.com for registration details and further information.
