The LuminoCity Festival is making a grand return to Walt Whitman Shops this summer, bringing back its beloved 'Dino Safari' from July 4th to September 1st, 2025. This annual event has quickly transformed into a local favorite, captivating both residents and tourists alike. The festival, known for its innovative light sculptures, promises new adventures this year that cater to all ages.

Founder Xiaoyi Chen expressed her excitement, stating, "We're thrilled to return home to Long Island and to offer our unparalleled immersive experience to our friends, neighbors, and both returning and new visitors." The festival this year boasts exciting additions that will enhance the immersive experience. Visitors can expect new animatronic dinosaurs, an expanded 'Bounce Zone' featuring fresh inflatables, and an upgraded LED dance floor. For families, there’s a larger kiddie play area designed to keep the young ones entertained.

The festival shares its spotlight with over 70 life-sized dinosaurs that will mesmerize attendees. Aspiring paleontologists will enjoy activities like the Safari Dig and Fossil Hunt that allow children to search for fossils and treasures. Alongside the visual spectacles, guests can indulge in culinary delights from various food trucks located within the Food and Relaxation Zone, ensuring a delightful experience on every level.

This year's Dino Safari will feature themed events every other week. Noteworthy among them is the eagerly anticipated 'Dino Bash', where families can revel in the festivities. Additionally, the 'Dino Wranglers' event invites guests to engage with expert handlers and learn how to 'train' their dinosaur friends. The festival will also create memorable moments with themed prizes, unique photo opportunities, and an array of dino-themed souvenirs available at Lumi's Gift Shop.

The event will take place at Walt Whitman Shops, located at 160 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station, NY. Parking is free and can be accessed in the Northeast parking lot along New York Avenue, conveniently located near Macy's.

The festival will kick off its opening night with a special event featuring the Jurassic Jubilee, which will take place on the 4th of July.
