With his expertise in technology and engineering leadership, Sinnema is poised to enhance Datamaran's platform, empowering businesses to better navigate the ever-evolving landscape of risks.
About Bert Sinnema
Bert Sinnema joins Datamaran from Eye Security, the fastest-growing cybersecurity company in Europe, where he served as Vice President of Engineering. In this capacity, he established the product and engineering organization from scratch, tripling the size of its international team and successfully securing €60 million in Series C funding. In his new role, Sinnema will be responsible for steering the technological direction and product vision, overseeing global engineering and product teams, including those in Valencia, Spain. This is a pivotal moment for Datamaran, as it aims to deepen the integration of artificial intelligence within its services. The focus is on providing quicker, actionable insights that clients can rely on for strategic decision-making regarding risks, regulations, and stakeholder expectations.
Sinnema's mandate includes accelerating the development pace of AI-infused products and ensuring that the platform evolves in parallel with the increasingly complex and rapidly changing risk landscape.
Vision for the Future
Marjella Lecourt-Alma, CEO and co-founder of Datamaran, expressed enthusiasm about Sinnema's appointment, stating, "Bert's history of building and scaling engineering teams in challenging operational environments, including his experience as a founder, makes him the perfect leader to shape our future. Sinnema himself emphasized the intersection of product leadership and AI, stating, "I thrive at the crossroads where the most complex problems are solved, and impactful decisions are made. Datamaran is harnessing the potential of AI to help businesses navigate a challenging risk landscape. I look forward to contributing my experience in developing and scaling engineering and product teams during such an exciting time for technology."
