Experience the Warmth of Winter at the Forest Bonfire Café

On January 11 and 12, 2026, Wako Park in Saitama, Japan, is set to host a free-entry event titled Forest Bonfire Café. Nestled approximately 1.3 kilometers south of Wako City Station, this event promises a unique winter experience for all ages.

Traditionally, open fires are prohibited in parks for safety reasons, but during this special occasion, attendees will have the opportunity to gather around cozy bonfires. The delicious aroma of roasted marshmallows and frankfurters will fill the air as guests enjoy various pocket-friendly food options. Additionally, visitors can delight in mini-concerts that will showcase a range of melodies, making for an unforgettable experience.

Last year marked the inaugural event, which was met with enthusiastic feedback. Following its success, this year’s program will be even bigger and better! Not only will there be several food trucks offering gourmet delights, but attendees can also participate in a ‘mini bonfire experience’ where they can try their hand at splitting wood and starting a fire using trees managed by the park. Moreover, families can enjoy a baseball clinic taught by coaches from the Saitama Seibu Lions Academy, offering guidance on throwing and hitting techniques.

This event is designed for families and friends, and pets are also welcome. It's an ideal opportunity to relax and connect with nature while enjoying time with loved ones.
